YOUR FIAT® STORY – COLLECTION 15

Italy has inspired some of the greatest stories ever told.

With your help, we’re merely adding to the collection.

We love to hear your fondest FIAT® memories, and we’ve gathered a few of our favorites. Don’t forget, you can share your FIAT story with us over in the FIAT Story Booth. Who knows? Maybe your story will be featured in our next batch of favorites.

You can see some of our previous favorites here:

I saw my first FIAT maybe 10 years ago. It was this little red car that would cruise my street when my mom was taking me to school. I told her, “I want a car like that!” every time we saw it. I spoke with the owner several years later and he told me the maker of the car: FIAT! So I looked online and saw that they would soon be releasing the FIAT 500 in America once again. I was very excited to think that I might actually have my very own FIAT 500. I found a studio that was close to my hometown, and made a deal to trade in my old car to put money toward the purchase of a new FIAT 500. To make things even better, I got it custom wrapped, and now I have a pink FIAT 500, my dream-come-true vehicle!

In 1981, my mother traveled to Italy with a family friend, Emma, who was originally from the Tuscan town of Pistoia. I was traveling on my own, but we had agreed to spend some time with Emma’s mother, Sofia, at the family villa just outside Pistoia. We met at the train station in the resort town of Montecatina, where a friend of Emma’s was waiting with his FIAT “Cinquecento.” Emma and my mother had enough luggage for a summer’s stay, while I was traveling with only a carry-on. All four of us and our luggage piled into the 500 for the long ride to Pistoia, stopping along the way to pick up pastries and treats for our host, Sofia! Great automotive memory! No wonder I love the new FIAT 500!

My wife has liked the FIAT 500 since they relaunched in the USA. She drives 26 miles round trip each day to work. I decided I no longer needed my car for business so I visited our nearest FIAT Studio. I received a great deal on a FIAT 500 Pop. The car was waiting in the garage when my wife came home from work. She didn’t have a clue. I am so glad she has the FIAT. She loves driving it and loves the gas mileage. She even lets me drive it when I am not traveling for work!

Check out these 100-liter fridges constructed from classic Fiat 500 front ends. Is it a cool appliance, or a crime that a a classic had to die to keep your beverages cold?

Score a Scorpion: Topless

Besides Antarctica, scorpions can live in virtually every terrestrial habitat, including the Internet.

Prepare your web browsers for the hunt. The FIAT®Score a Scorpion” promotion is stinging fans for a second time.

Seek and you shall find as many scorpions on the web as arachnids have legs. Over the course of four weeks, eight scorpions will make their nests on various well-known sites across the web. Follow clues and capture the scorpions for chances to win a brand new 2013 FIAT 500 Abarth.

Watch the “Score a Scorpion” (insert link when site goes live) website, FIAT USA Facebook page and @FIATUSA Twitter handle like a hawk for clues that will help you uncover the coveted scorpions.  Clues will be released every three to four days over the duration of the contest.

Spring quickly to the hunt when clues are revealed for the reward is well worth the effort.  Once you’ve spotted your prey, click the scorpion to add it to your stockpile.

Accumulate and register the first four scorpions for up to four chances to win an Abarth Track Experience.  Then continue your quest to collect the final four scorpions and you too could pack a venomous sting behind the wheel of a brand-new FIAT 500 Abarth.

The fifth scorpion, and each scorpion you score after it, counts as an additional entry. Therefore, if you collect all eight scorpions by the end of the program, you will have four chances to win an Abarth Track Experience and four chances to win an Abarth Cabrio.

Last year, three dedicated Facebook fans enjoyed the rewards of “Score a Scorpion,” driving away in a brand-new Abarth Cabrio.

Rev your cursors and prepare to “Score a Scorpion” today.  Ready. Set. Go!
